چکیده

Abstract Stellite-6 (Co-based) and NiAl coatings (Ni-based) were deposited via HVOF spraying onto 304 stainless steels tested in a 20 kWth biomass fired bubbling fluidised bed (BFB) combustor for 20 h an industrial scale anthracite CFB boiler 1630 h. showed excellent corrosion resistance both combustion systems because of the formation outermost Cr2O3 layer spinel CoCr2O4 beneath, whereas coatings’ anti-corrosion performance was significantly depleted due to chlorine attack, resultant Al2O3 at coating/substrate interface finally led coating spallation systems.

Thermal Sprayed Coatings Used Against Corrosion and Corrosive Wear

Coatings have historically been developed to provide protection against corrosion and erosion that is to protect the material from chemical and physical interaction with its environment. Corrosion and wear problems are still of great relevance in a wide range of industrial applications and products as they result in the degradation and eventual failure of components and systems both in the proc...

Experimental and Numerical Study of Residual Stress in the WC-12Co HVOF Sprayed Coatings

Thermally sprayed coatings are intrinsically associated with residual stresses in the deposits. These stresses are varied in nature and magnitude, and have a pronounced effect on the mechanical behavior of the system. In the current study, WC-12Co coatings were deposited using HVOF thermal spraying. The sin2ψ method was used to evaluate the through thickness residual stress by means ...

Hot corrosion behavior of HVOF-sprayed CoNiCrAlYSi coatings in a sulphate environment

HVOF-sprayed CoNiCrAlYSi coatings were tested at 900 °C in a hot corrosion environment containing sodium-potassium sulphates. The HVOF spraying caused the typical splat-on-splat structure. The results after the hot corrosion testing showed that the corrosion preferentially occurred at the coating surface and the splat boundaries. The oxidation along the splat boundaries can isolate the splat fr...

Study of Wear Behaviour of Hvof and Cold Sprayed Coatings on Boiler Steels

In this study two commonly used steels in boiler plants, i.e. (SAE-213) T-22 and SA516 (Grade-70) were coated with different thermal spray processes namely HVOF and cold spray. The coating powder used was made up of NiCrTiCRe powder. The performance of the coated as well as uncoated material was investigated using a pin-on-disc machine [Model: Wear and Friction Monitor Tester TR-20], supplied b...
